The eXp Referral Division provides agents the opportunity to keep their active real estate license with a broker while they take a break from the day-to-day activities of traditional real estate. Agents may refer potential clients to other agents for a fee or percentage of the earned commission.

Onboarding Instructions

Welcome to eXp! Follow these simple steps to start your onboarding process with the eXp Referral Division.

Step 1: Complete the eXp Referral Division Application

When the webpage opens, click “New Agent.”
You’ll then be directed to the first page of the application.

Step 2: Gather the Following Information

Before starting, make sure you have the following details ready:

🪪 Real Estate License Information
👥 Sponsor Information
💳 Banking Information
- How you will pay eXp (for fees, if applicable)
- How you want eXp to pay your commissions

Step 3: Completing the Financial Tab

💡 Tip: When you reach the Financial tab of the application, you’ll see a pop-up question asking:

“Is a third party paying your fees?”

If Yes, provide the name and email address of the person paying your fees.
You’ll still need to enter your own payment method for our records.
- Don’t worry — your payment method will not be charged unless that third-party arrangement changes in the future.

Step 4: Sign the Independent Contractor Agreement Packet

At the end of the application process, you’ll be prompted to review and sign the Independent Contractor Agreement Packet.

Some fields will be automatically filled based on your earlier answers.
Make sure to review carefully and complete all required documents to finish your application.

Step 6: Schedule 1-on-1 Help (Optional)

If you’d like assistance completing your application, you can schedule a time to walk through it together with Christopher Finco (Onboarding Manager) on Zoom or over the phone.
